Meet Roxanne, the driving force behind Mount Logan EcoLodge & Yukon Guided Adventures. Her journey began far from the Yukon, leading her from Montreal through guiding adventures across the Canadian Rockies and the European Alps \u2013 including teaching climbing in Switzerland. A graduate of TRU’s Adventure Guide program, she completed her ACMG Hiking and Backpacking Guide certifications in 2001, bringing over two decades of rich, international experience to the Kluane wilderness she now calls home.<\/p>

In 2018, Roxanne took the helm of Mount Logan EcoLodge, infusing it and Yukon Guided Adventures with her vision: sharing the transformative power of this landscape by blending adventure guiding, yoga, and wellness with heartfelt hospitality. When Roxanne first met Mario in 2014, she was immediately impressed by Mario’s dedication, energy, and entrepreneurial spirit. Learning that he was also a competitor in the grueling Yukon Arctic Ultra, which he completed not once, but twice, further solidified her respect for his determination and exceptional work ethic.<\/p>

While he may not be leading every tour, Mario’s contributions are essential to ensuring smooth operations and creating a welcoming environment for our guests. His passion for the outdoors extends beyond the lodge. He’s an avid runner and hiker. Originally from France, Derek moved to British Columbia as a teenager. His Yukon journey began years ago. He met Roxanne on the Chilkoot Trail in 2017. With over 6 years of guiding experience specifically in the Yukon, Derek is deeply passionate about sharing the region’s hidden gems and breathtaking mountain scenery \u2013 though don’t ask him to guide a water trip!<\/p>

An avid runner and talented nature photographer, Derek often captures the stunning beauty he explores. Known for his friendly, calm nature, he ensures a memorable and safe experience for all guests. Beyond guiding, Derek has been instrumental in helping us grow since its early days and also lends his expertise to Parks Canada during the summer, promoting conservation. Mount Logan Ecolodge wouldn\u2019t be the same without its four-legged resident, Logan. This friendly and well-behaved dog is part of the lodge\u2019s charm, adding to the authentic Yukon atmosphere. He loves greeting guests and relaxing by the fire but knows his manners\u2014he stays off the furniture and respects mealtime boundaries. His presence makes the lodge feel even more like home, offering warmth, companionship, and a true northern welcome.<\/p>

Yes, we highly recommend having your own vehicle, especially during the spring, summer, and fall. Distances in the Yukon can be long, and having your own car gives you the ultimate freedom and flexibility to explore the stunning Kluane region and surrounding areas at your own pace and comfort.\u2028<\/p>

For the winter months, if you are not experienced or comfortable with winter driving conditions (which can include snow and ice), driving yourself might not be the best option. \u2028In this case, we offer pick-up services, or we can help arrange transportation with a local subcontractor. Additionally, please note that most of our multi-day winter packages already include transportation to and from the lodge.\u2028<\/p>

The Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) are typically visible in our area from mid-August to mid-April. However, seeing them is never guaranteed as it depends on several factors: solar activity (aurora strength), clear skies (no cloud cover), and sufficient darkness.<\/p>

Our location, far from city light pollution, offers an excellent chance to witness this breathtaking natural phenomenon during the main viewing season!\u2028<\/p>

While there’s sometimes still aurora activity later in April or even early May, the increasing daylight hours significantly reduce the viewing window and chances.
